There’s no overwhelming smoke smell in the air here. No stale, smokey, stuffy air. It’s very open and airy for a large room.

There’s a large open air humidor that features your favorite cigars, or maybe it’s time to find a new favorite. With so many cigars, thousands, you’re sure to find one to your taste. The price range is wide and goes as high as $50 or more per cigar.

You’ll definitely not be at a loss for cigar choices. And if you forget your cigar lighter and cutter at home, don’t worry. They’ll clip it and light it for you at Corona Cigar Company Sarasota and its El Septimo VIP Lounge. (They appreciate tips)

The large and airy surroundings have several lounge areas; upstairs (elevator) and on the main level, with comfortable, relaxing leather chairs to settle into with your cigar selection, large cigar ash trays are on each table.

The other “star attraction” here is the bar!

The bar is filled with bottles of any type of libation you might desire or think of to sip on along with your fine cigar of choice.

Whether you’re a straight whiskey or beer aficionado or desire a mixed cocktail there is much to choose from on their Bar Menu and quite capable bar tenders are on tap to make the perfect cocktail companion to your cigar.

They feature a number of hand crafted signature cocktails to enjoy with your smoke and they also have on hand, as you might imagine, single malt scotches of every kind, small batch bourbons, small batch rye whiskey, cognac, brandy, Irish whisky, rum, tequila, beer, vodka, gin, cordials and liqueurs, port, wine, champagne, coffee drinks and assorted soft drinks, too. You name it, they’ll most likely have it or make it for you.

So, once you’ve chosen your cigar and drink it’s time to settle in and settle back in one of the leather chairs and relax with your cigar and drink. It’s a most pleasant experience and a great way to pass some time. Both the upstairs and downstairs lounges have large screen TVs and you can usually find them tuned to the current  big sport event.

I selected a Romeo Y Julieta Real Magnum (6 x 60) for an even $10.00. This is a nice, tasty mild flavored cigar that usually scores high ranks among cigar afficianados the world over. It did not disappoint. I paired this fine cigar with a Cigar Ciy Maduro Beer ($5.95), ice cold from the beer locker. It was a terrifc choice, the beer being a bit stronger than the cigar.

My friend, Steve, who was along with me, opted for an Avo XO Intermezzo (5 1/2 x 50) for $14 and he splurged on one of their specilty handmade cocktails, a Maker's Mark Private Selection Boulvardier. It's made with Maker's Mark, Campari, and Sweet Vermouth ($15.95).

You can also opt for single malt scotch, as I sometimes do. And they have a great selection which you can check out at anywhere from a low price of $10.95 an ounce all the way up to a 1 ounce shot of Dalmore 30 year Highland Scotch for a mere $453.00! Yes, that's for a one ounce shot! Cheers. Enjoy.

This is not an experience to be“rushed.” You want to spend at least a couple of hours here enjoying your cigar and libation, the atmosphere, and maybe even make a new friend or two with similar interests.

The Corona Cigar Company Lounge in Sarasota opened its doors in late May-early June 2023. Other locations, at this writing, all in Florida, include Tampa, 2 in Orlando and Lake Mary. Having been to the Tampa location I can report that the Sarasota location is just as fine an experience.

It’s done right here and it doesn’t look like they cut corners anywhere.

If you bring the right attitude you’ll have a primo experience surrounded by like minded individuals.

Hours: Monday & Tuesday: 9 a.m. - midnight. Wednesday & Thursday: 9 a.m. - 1 a.m. Friday & Saturday: 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Sunday: 10 a.m. - midnight. . Business casual dress code after 6 p.m..

NOTE DRESS CODE: After 6 p.m they have posted NO T-shirts, flip flops, tennis shoes or baseball caps. If you pay attention to the rules you'll have a fine time!
