A. Parker’s Books, Inc., ABAA, is a Sarasota-based antiquarian bookstore with associate locations in New Orleans and Boston, specializing in scholarly, rare and antiquarian books, sets and fine bindings, as well as library design and collection development services. The Sarasota Bookstore will be exhibiting at the 31st Annual Baltimore Summer Antiques Show in Baltimore, Maryland during the last week of August.
The 2011 Baltimore Summer Antiques Show, organized by the Palm Beach Show Group and sponsored by Antiques & Fine Art Magazine, will be held at the Baltimore Convention Center, One West Pratt Street, Baltimore Inner Harbor, from August 25th throughout the 28th. The four-day event will showcase an international selection of fine art, antiques, rare books, collectibles and estate jewelry, with a run-of-the-show admission fee of $12. As well as the general public, many of the country's premier collectors and connoisseurs will attend, drawn to this largest and most important Summer Antiques Show featuring over 550 International Antiques Dealers and 70 International Antiquarian Book Dealers. These International Exhibitors, from the U.S., Canada, England, France, Germany, Italy, South America, and Asia, will bring over 200,000 individual items to the Show. This year's fully sold-out Show will include a dazzling array of world-class collectibles, antiquarian books and objets d'art. In addition, there will be a highly informative Lecture Series on Southeastern Pennsylvania Furniture from 1725-1850, Chinese Enameled Porcelains if the Qianlong Period, Collecting American Political Campaign Flags, Kerchiefs and Banners, Georg Jensen Silver, Satsuma Earthenware, Schoolgirl Art and Watercolors of the 19th Century, and a Collectors' Forum on Art and Antiques.
A. Parker's Books is delighted to be a part of this Summer Show and will bring many collectible and noteworthy items including a First edition of Charles Darwin's first appearance in print, a Signed letter by Booker T. Washington, a Signed book by Charles Bukowski and a Signed, limited edition of Saint-Exupery's Le Petit Prince. This year, we will share Booths 712 and 714 with our Sister Store in Boston, Commonwealth Books, voted Boston's Best Used Bookstore, 2011, by Boston Magazine. Our 2009 Booth, Aspen Antiques and Fine Arts Fair
A. Parker's Books, Inc., a Sarasota-based antiquarian bookstore specializing in scholarly, rare and antiquarian books, sets and fine bindings, as well as library design and collection development services, will be exhibiting at the 8th Annual Aspen Antiques and Fine Arts Fair in Aspen, Colorado Fourth of July, 2010.
The 2010 Aspen Antiques and Fine Arts Fair will be hosted by the Ice Garden in Downtown Aspen from July 3rd through the 10th. The eight-day event will showcase the country's finest art, antiques, collectibles, furniture and jewelry and offers free admission to the public.
Many of the country's premier collectors and art connoisseurs will attend, as well as local residents of Aspen, famous for their appreciation of the finest in art, collectibles, exquisite jewelry and style.
It promises to be an extraordinary week for dealers and patrons, with Fourth of July Celebrations including fine art, fine books, fine dining, parades and the best summer weather available.
